The Gaskell Journal is published annually and sent to all members of The Gaskell Society. Anyone with an interest in Elizabeth Gaskell is most welcome to join the Society. The Gaskell Society has UK regional branches in Manchester, Knutsford and London & the South East. It hosts several events a year, including meetings, trips and socials. It hosts a national conference every two years.
As well as the Gaskell Journal, all subscribers receive a twice-yearly newsletter, which contains shorter articles and reviews on current Gaskell projects and research, and also full details of the many lectures, meetings, reading groups and events organised by The Gaskell Society and its regional groups throughout the year.
Institutions, including universities and other libraries, can subscribe directly to The Gaskell Society to receive a hard copy of the Journal: in addition, the Journal is available online in libraries that subscribe to the Literature Online package through Proquest and to JSTOR.
